Marketplace Jobs ("we", "us", "our") operates a job board and AI career assistant focused on marketplace and platform companies. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using the site, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

• Account information: When you create an account, we store your name, email address, and authentication details.
• AI Copilot conversations: Messages and files you share with the AI career assistant are stored to provide and improve the service.
• Application Tool inputs: When you use the AI Application Tool, we process the job description and the background, resume, or LinkedIn profile text you submit to generate tailored application materials. This input is sent to our third-party AI provider and is not retained by us beyond the session.
• Matching Tool inputs: When you use Quick Match, we process the preferences you provide. When you use LinkedIn Match, we process the public LinkedIn profile URL you submit and the profile content we fetch from it to extract criteria such as skills, seniority, and role. This content is sent to our third-party AI provider and is not retained by us beyond the session.
• Usage data: We log pages visited, search queries, and device and browser information through analytics.
• Employer data: When an employer claims a company or posts a role, we collect verification details and job content.
• Newsletter signups: When you subscribe to our newsletter, we store the email address you provide.

How We Use Information

• To operate the job board and direct you to external application pages.
• To power the AI Copilot, including generating job summaries, matches, and cover-letter drafts.
• To power the AI Application Tool, generating tailored resumes, cover letters, and outreach notes from the background you provide.
• To sync and display job postings from applicant tracking systems such as Greenhouse, Lever, and Ashby.
• To communicate with you about applications, account activity, and site updates.
• To analyze and improve the site, and to prevent fraud or abuse.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data only where we have a lawful basis under the GDPR:

• Consent: for non-essential cookies and optional inputs you choose to submit to AI tools.
• Contract: to operate your account and provide the job board and AI features you request.
• Legitimate interests: to aggregate and display public job postings, analyze and improve the Service, and prevent fraud or abuse.
• Legal obligation: where required by law.

Our AI features are assistive tools. They do not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you. You remain in control of reviewing, editing, and deciding whether to use or send any AI-generated content.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as necessary:

• With service providers: We use AI, email, and hosting providers that process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements.
• For legal reasons: We may disclose information when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

Third-Party Job Sources

Many listings are aggregated from publicly available applicant tracking systems such as Greenhouse, Lever, and Ashby. We pull these postings automatically and do not have a direct partnership or integration with the companies shown. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of those companies, and all trademarks and job postings belong to their respective owners.

We do not collect or host your application materials. When you click "Apply", you are redirected to an external site governed by its own terms and privacy policy, where you submit your application directly to the employer. We are not responsible for the practices of those external sites.

AI Matching Tools

Quick Match processes the preferences you provide (role, skills, experience, location, and similar) to rank active roles. LinkedIn Match processes the public LinkedIn profile URL you submit: we fetch and parse the profile's content through third-party AI providers to extract criteria such as skills, seniority, and role, then rank active roles against them.

Only submit a LinkedIn profile URL that is your own and public. We do not access private profiles or store LinkedIn credentials. The profile content is sent to our third-party AI provider and is not retained by us beyond the session; whether the provider retains it is governed by its own terms and configuration.

Match results are automated suggestions for guidance only and may be inaccurate or incomplete. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LinkedIn or any platform referenced in your profile.

AI Copilot

The AI Copilot processes your messages using third-party AI models. Avoid submitting sensitive personal data such as government IDs, financial details, or health information. AI-generated content may be inaccurate; review it before relying on it.

AI Application Tool

The AI Application Tool processes the job description and the background, resume, or LinkedIn profile text you submit using third-party AI models to generate a tailored resume, cover letter, and outreach note.

Only submit information you have the right to share, including any content sourced from your own LinkedIn profile or other accounts. Avoid submitting sensitive personal data such as government IDs, financial details, or health information. AI-generated content may be inaccurate; review and edit it before sending it to any employer or contact.

We do not retain your input after the request completes; whether the provider retains it is governed by its own terms and configuration.

We are not affiliated with LinkedIn or any other platform referenced in the generated content, and we do not automate sending on your behalf.

Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, and measure traffic. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them. Use the cookie consent banner to acknowledge our use of cookies.

Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary:

• Account data: retained while your account is active and removed when you delete it.
• AI Copilot conversations: stored with your account to preserve conversation history.
• Application Tool inputs: processed for the request and not retained by us beyond the session.
• Matching Tool inputs: processed for the request and not retained by us beyond the session.
• Job and company listings: kept while postings are active and updated or removed as their sources change.
• Newsletter signups: retained until you unsubscribe.

You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, object to processing, request data portability, and withdraw consent at any time. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, these rights are guaranteed by the GDPR and equivalent laws.

To exercise any right, contact us at contact@marketplacejobs.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law (generally one month). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, but no system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

The site is not intended for individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us to have it removed.

International Transfers

Marketplace Jobs operates a global service and uses third-party providers — including AI, email, analytics, and hosting — that may process personal data in various countries, including outside the European Economic Area. Where your personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or on a provider located in a country with an adequacy decision, to ensure a level of protection essentially equivalent to that within the EU.

Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not "sell" or "share" your personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
